PPRAC Riders NEWThe Million Dollar Ride!

The Pennsylvania Perimeter Ride Against Cancer (PPRAC) is now planning our next ride against cancer for 2009. The Million Dollar Ride will start in Burlington, Vermont and end in Palmerton, PA.

On July 3, 1983, 20 riders left on a bicycle journey that followed the 1,000-mile perimeter of Pennsylvania. This inaugural PPRAC raised $20,000 for the Lehigh Valley Unit of the American Cancer Society. Today, the PPRAC is organized on an every-other-year format with riders covering 500 miles in six days of cycling through some of the most scenic roads leading to Pennsylvania. Thirteen tours to date have raised over $896,000 to fight cancer.

PPRAC XIV will roll on August 2 - August 8, 2009. We are looking for 63 riders to make a commitment to fight cancer. In return, you will experience a well-organized, challenging, beautiful and memorable ride. If you are ready for the experience, please join us.

The goal for the 2009 ride is to raise over $150,000. If we meet our goal, we will break the $1 Million mark for total monies raised for the fourteen rides. Hope youc an be part of this historic event.

2007 Ride

PPRAC finished another successful ride in 2007. Thank you to all of our sponsors, volunteers, riders and everyone who helped make PPRAC XIII a great success! With your help, we raised over $150,000! PPRAC is a six-day biennial ride raising funds for the American Cancer Society and Dream Come True.
