or handlebar bag/map clip

- Spare tubes
- Patch kit
- Frame pump
- Know how to fix a flat (or ride with someone who does). Be self-sufficient
- Light for back of bike or handlebars
- Comfortable seat and proper gearing for multiple days of hilly riding
- Energy food/replacement drinks
- Mirror
- Hydration system (i.e., Camelback)
- Bike computer to track mileage
To Wear
- Multiple pairs of padded cycling shorts
- Chamois butter
- 2-3 pairs of cycling gloves
- Helmet
- Eye protection
- Sun block
- Jacket/poncho for rainy riding
- Chilly weather gear (arm/leg warmers, tights, jacket)
- Casual clothes for evening (t-shirts, shorts, sweats)
- Bathing suit
- Socks
- Reflective vest/jacket
- Cycling jerseys
Toiletries/Misc
- Day pack for gear
- Toothbrush/paste
- Ibuprofen (or other anti-inflammatory of choice)
- 2 towels
- Small fan
- Sleeping pad or air mattress/pump
- Sleeping bag/sheets/pillow
- Small camera
- Small alarm clock
- Tent (optional)
- Walkman/earplugs
- Postcards/stamps
Small to medium sized duffels and/or Rubbermaid containers are easiest to load
and unload. Please keep luggage limited to two items per rider. |
